September  24, 2026 at Climate Week NYC Digital Reef and Oreasoc Agriculture Inc. (www.oreasocagriculture.com), who work to protect biodiversity and restore forest ecosystems across the South American Amazon announced an offtake agreement under which Digital Reef will purchase verified environmental assets generated by Oreasoc, supporting the development of low-carbon data centres and mitigating their environmental footprint through the protection of high-integrity natural ecosystems.

The agreement directly links Digital Reef’s 3.3 GW pipeline of data centres with more than 30 million hectares of rainforest and environmental assets across the South American Amazon.

Emissions that cannot yet be eliminated can be mitigated through the purchase of verified environmental assets.  Digital Reef work with partners including Oreasoc Agriculture Inc who generates these assets by working alongside local communities to protect rainforest across the South American Amazon, one of the world’s largest natural carbon stores and a cornerstone of global climate stability.

Xange.com’s are appointed across all Digital Reef products to provide the technology for transparent emissions accounting across data centre design, construction and operation, and for monitoring the protected forest:
